Steve Jobs Wants Flying Saucer Building For Apple Campus


In order to house the growing number of employees that work for Apple, Steve Jobs is pushing for a new building in Cupertino, an enormous space-age spaceship to house 12,000 employees. It’ll be based on former HP land that Apple bought from them in 2010, and will function as its own primary power source, only drawing from the grid as a backup. “There’s not a single straight piece of glass in this building,” said Jobs.

I wonder if anyone on the Cupertino City Council is going to try and shoot down an idea like this, one that is so clearly a “holy crap, we live in the future!” proposal.
