Daily Tip: How to subscribe to Apple iCal calendars [Mac only]

Trying to figure out how to easily add holidays and sports schedules into the iPhone or iPad Calendar app? Lucky for us Apple actually solved this problem quite a while ago for Mac iCal users. Simply subscribe to Apple’s already built calendars and you’ll be all set. Read on to find out how!

Sure, you can manually add calendar subscriptions right on your iOS device, but finding them and tapping them all in can be a pain. iCal on Mac makes it simple, and if you’re already syncing, it can save you some time and effort!

If you guys subscribe to calendars via Apple, which ones do you use? I find these especially handy for things like holidays and sports schedules as well as astronomy calendars. We live on the beach and sometimes I want to know what time the sun is setting. Sure I can use a weather app but it’s nice to be able to set alarms for nights I know I’m going to be around the beach area. How about you guys, any calendars you found that you think are especially cool?

Tips of the day will range from beginner-level 101 to advanced-level ninjary. If you already know this tip, keep the link handy as a quick way to help a friend. If you have a tip of your own you’d like to suggest, add them to the comments or send them in to news@tipb.com. (If it’s especially awesome and previously unknown to us, we’ll even give ya a reward…)

Qvoid App Review – A Colorful Mass of Cleverly Designed Puzzles

Puzzle fans will be pleased to hear that Gavina Games’ debut game has breached the app store, in the stunning form of onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/itunes.apple.com/app/qvoid/id444918183?mt=8');" target="_blank" href="http://itunes.apple.com/app/qvoid/id444918183?mt=8">Qvoid, an all-around cleverly designed puzzler for both the iPhone and onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.ipadngravy.com');" target="_blank" href="http://www.ipadngravy.com">iPad. Taking the simple gameplay idea of popular games currently available on many flash websites, and on iOS, and expanding on it, Qvoid is now available for $1.99 on the app store.

Qvoid places you in control of a white, 3D cube, with your job being to collect and match colors on a board. You’ll have to roll over colored spaces and then strategically roll that face onto the other matching color. As you advance through the great number of levels, they’ll start to get more challenging by adding different elements and more clever level design. Different gameplay elements will come together to ultimately offer you a puzzler that will test your last brain cell. I was going to record a gameplay video showcasing the gameplay, since you’re probably confused right now with that choppy explanation, but Gavina Games has already done me a favor and made a trailer themselves. Check it out:

href="http://www.iphonealley.com/application_reviews/qvoid-app-review-a-colorful-mass-of-cleverly-designed-puzzles/attachment/qvoid" rel="attachment wp-att-20554">src="http://www.iphonealley.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Qvoid-199x300.png" alt="" title="Qvoid" width="199" height="300" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-20554" />With over 96 levels split up into 4 different difficulty sections, Qvoid is one of the applications boasting the largest gameplay value I’ve seen to date on the iOS platform. Considering the more difficult levels, and the ones in the beginning if you’re not a puzzle buff like me, will require multiple attempts to complete on par. Yes, on par, as there is a wonderful three-star rating system for each level; you finish with the least amount of moves possible, you get three stars and so on. These stars will unlock each difficulty level progressively, once you reach a specific amount.

Qvoid’s best aspect may very well be its user interface and artwork combined together to form the perfect menu and gameplay system. All of the in-game menus and the gameplay graphics are made with a modern touch and the latter also includes a full variety of crisp, polished colorful sprites as well. GameCenter is also integrated with some pretty difficult achievements and, believe it or not, leaderboards putting you up against other gamers to see who has the most amount of stars. There’s only a certain about of stars you can collect in the end, so I don’t know how much of a purpose the leaderboards serve up till a point, but they’re certainly a nice touch.

Given it launched today, you’re probably not too satisfied that there isn’t some sort of launch sale, but onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/itunes.apple.com/app/qvoid/id444918183?mt=8');" target="_blank" href="http://itunes.apple.com/app/qvoid/id444918183?mt=8">Qvoid is arguably the best puzzle game for iOS. In my opinion, it’s worth every cent of its $1.99 price tag. The verdict? You need to buy it now regardless of if you’re a puzzle fan or not.

Multitask while on a phone call with Thrutu for iPhone

Thrutu, by MetaSwitch, is a new app that lets you share location, photos, contacts and more while you’re talking on the phone.

Thrutu brings new fun and function to the phone call. It’s so simple that you’ll wonder why phone calls couldn’t always work this way.

Thrutu comes with five buttons:

Thrutu needs simultaneous voice and data to meet operate at its full potential, so if you’re a Verizon customer, you’ll need to be connected to Wifi. However, Thrutu does make it possible to share via SMS for Verizon customers or when the person you’re talking to doesn’t have Thrutu installed.

I haven’t had the chance to play with this, yet, but it looks rather promising. Having quick and easy access to location, camera, photos, and contacts while on a phone call will be very convenient. Sure, I can switch apps to accomplish any of these tasks (except the vibrating), but this is a much better implementation. I hope Apple is taking notes, as I think this a feature that is lacking in iOS.

Thrutu is available for free. Screenshots and video after the break.

New Android App Makes Multitasking With Your iPhone Easier

Over 200,000 Android users have already been enjoying the multitasking app from Thrutu, and starting today, iPhone users can get in on the action too.

The Thrutu app allows mobile device users to find a location by sending a live map, or useful information to other phones without having to disconnect from a conversation. It’s the perfect tool to help lost friends locate you by giving them a point of reference while talking with them on the phone.

The app also allows you to take and send images or galleries to the person you’re speaking with. If your friend is really, really bad at following directions, this feature can be helpful by allowing you to take snapshots of landmarks to aid your lost pal. Or it can be a fun way to tease your friends about your great seats at the local baseball game while bragging on the phone. Sounds like the perfect app for San Francisco Giants fans!

The app works with other Thrutu enabled devices and automatically opens when another user calls you. However, you’ll have to manually turn it on when placing your own call.

The Thrutu app is free in the onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/itunes.apple.com/tw/app/id430742625?mt=8');" target="_blank" href="http://itunes.apple.com/tw/app/id430742625?mt=8">iTunes App Store, and is compatible with iPhones with iOS 4.0 or later.

Chillingo Launching Three Titles Tonight

Chillingo has made a large name for themselves over the past few years, since the introduction of the app store, and that title is very well deserved. The quality in the applications that they publish is flawless, and all have been very well received by the app store audience. Tonight, at 11 PM Eastern Standard Time, another three applications will be added to their large collection.

It’s pretty much become a standard that Chillingo launches a few of their titles every Thursday, or rather Wednesday night. Here’s a list of what’ll be hitting the app store tonight at 11 PM EST:

href="http://www.iphonealley.com/news/chillingo-launching-three-titles-tonight/attachment/dtn" rel="attachment wp-att-20574">src="http://www.iphonealley.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/dtn.png" alt="" title="dtn" width="88" height="88" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-20574" />I’ve been waiting for a few months for this application, and it’s rightly so. Dream Track Nation is yet another side-scrolling, physics based racer that will be launching as a universal application tonight. You’ll control a vehicle as you maneuver down the 2D path, breaking through obstacles, attempting wild jumps and more. Everything you could ever expect from an application of this sort, that easily bests applications of similar idea. The application boasts 48 different tracks set in 3 different locations, an in-app level editor, and also worldwide multiplayer integration all for only a buck. Check it out once it launches on the app store; I’ll also have a review for you soon after the release.

Jet Set Go

/> href="http://www.iphonealley.com/news/chillingo-launching-three-titles-tonight/attachment/jetsetgo" rel="attachment wp-att-20595">src="http://www.iphonealley.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/jetsetgo.png" alt="" title="jetsetgo" width="88" height="88" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-20595" />Time-management has made its self familiar on iOS and over all the consoles of the modern day. Though there are many, there aren’t quite enough to turn on a mood of despise for them. Launching in about an hour, is Jet Set Go, by the makers of my favorite time-management game, Sally’s Spa. Them plus Chillingo should result in a pretty nice game. If you’ve got a liking for these types of so-called sims, then be sure to check this one out for only $0.99. The artwork looks perky and crisp and the gameplay definitely looks like it’ll amount to the similar gameplay that made Sally’s Spa gold! Look out for a full review soon.

Gameplay Video/> width="640" height="510" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/heMnvBCEwRs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

/> href="http://www.iphonealley.com/news/chillingo-launching-three-titles-tonight/attachment/one-man-army" rel="attachment wp-att-20596">src="http://www.iphonealley.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/one-man-army.png" alt="" title="one man army" width="88" height="88" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-20596" />This clever mash of a game, including shooter and tower defense elements, places you in control of one man posed with ridding the few remaining human settlements of attacking mutants. You must strategically place towers in the playing field while also shooting from behind your barricade. There are multiple stages to play, different weapons to use and the core gameplay looks like it truly won’t disappoint. If any of the above caught your attention, check out One Man Army. It, like the previous two applications, will be launching for a mere dollar — not much to spare for a solid game.

Gameplay Video/> width="640" height="510" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5WUiTCL6YAg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

As Chillingo’s collection slowly expands, so does my love for their games. Remember, these will all be launching at 11 PM EST tonight, a little less than an hour’s time from now. If you have any comments, short impressions or questions on any of the above, please leave a comment below.

US starts to fine people for texting while walking on city streets

Certain cities in the US have started fining walkers on the streets if they are caught texting on their iPhone (or other mobile devices). If you have ever walked down a street while composing a short email or text message, you know how distracting it can be and how unaware you are of where you are and what is going on around you. This is leading to more and more accidents and the new system of fines is meant to make you more aware of the dangers.

Earlier this year a woman from Pennsylvania was caught on video whilst walking through a shopping center. She was so engrossed in typing out her message that she fell right into a water feature. Yes this example was quite funny however it could have been a whole lot worse.

Pennsylvania is now looking at putting an end to these sorts of incidents and is introducing a programme called “Give Respect, Get Respect”. This programme covers distracted drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. Mayor Nutter denied that offenders would automatically be fined at first but did admit that violators would be reminded and warned of their surroundings and potential dangers. In Rexburgh, Idaho fines are already in place for texting while walking. Anyone found walking across a street while texting is immediately fined $50.

I think this really is a case or using your common sense but unfortunately it doesn’t always work that way. Hopefully we will see future iPhones with better voice integration enabling us to talk to send text messages rather than typing. You could always just use the Email ‘n Walk app which uses the iPhone’s camera to show you what is in front of you; as you type your text. This won’t save you from a fine, but may stop you falling in that fountain or in front of a fast moving vehicle!

Man to Camp in iPhone 5 Line with an Outrageously Fun Scheme

Rob Shoesmith, an app developer at MEDL Mobile and ambitious fellow, has an extensive plan in place to be the most outrageous person to ever wait in line for a product. Shoesmith is going to wait in line at the Covent Garden Apple Store in London, one of Apple’s premier and largest retail store locations, with solely products and luxuries donated to him for the purpose of supporting his venture.

The plan has been progressing smoothly for months, as companies of all kinds have been sending Shoesmith products from batteries to clothes, even hair gel. As news spreads, it seems that he always has a new contribution to write about every week. If the amount of items that he is arranging to bring with him as he embarks on the line wait is not enough to grab attention, then how does having quality food from nearby restaurants served to him in line as everyone else waiting stares in not just a growing curiosity, but also envy as they are forced to have pre-packaged food sound?

Plus, what if he wanted to play his music library through speakers, why not go ahead and try it? On the music angle, his plans are actually more ambitious and original: local bands have agreed to perform for him as he is waiting outside the Apple Store for the next-generation iPhone.

In total, Shoesmith has already received over $1,500 worth of products and there is certainly time left for that number to increase since the next iPhone isn’t due until fall. Though some may say that he is attempting this stunt simply out of greed for free items, he says with confidence that while those are nice, his ambitions are for his “experiment” to be a career invigorator.

With a unique scheme and support, it will be interesting to follow Shoesmith as he begins his line journey. In the past, the most notable line-standers have been the devoted who simply camp out for weeks, repeating the act as popular new devices are announced. The focus of his wait will not be its length, but the grandeur of how he pushes what anybody has ever done in a line spot.

Check out his onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/robshoesmith.blogspot.com/');" target="_blank" href="http://robshoesmith.blogspot.com/">blog for updates and to learn about new twists. We will be sure to keep in touch with Rob over the coming weeks and report as stand-out events take place in journey. Once the next iPhone is announced, as others are deciding which color to get, Rob Shoesmith will be hastily putting the final touches on his line plans.

Man Arrested For iPhone Abuse!

Tired of iPhone rumors? Me too! How about some depressing news instead?

According to the New York Post, a 37-year-old patent attorney allegedly cut his 23-year-old girlfriend’s mouth after he forced her to eat her own iPhone! Brian Anscomb is no stranger to mobile phone abuse, on July 10, he broke another phone after she tried to contact the authorities.

Anscomb was arrested on Sunday and his layer told the Post that he denies “all of the allegations.” Anscomb is also accused of punching his girlfriend in the eye after she tried to escape.

I’ve suffered from plenty of iPhone rage in the past, but this one takes the cake!

Check Out This Incredible Fake Apple Store From China

China is known for producing cheap, knockoff goods, like fake iPhones and iPods — but what about an entire fake Apple store? This incredible little photo essay from BirdAbroad is of a store in Kunming, China — that looks just like the real thing. The wooden tables are right, the signs are right, the products are real, the staff even believe that they’re working at an actual Apple store. The only problem is that there isn’t one in that city.

The people who were taking these photos got hustled out by security, but managed to convince them that they were Apple store employees from America, taking photos of various branches.

Man, I don’t know if I’m impressed or disgusted. I mean, if you’re going to fake something, you might as well do it right, right?

Wooords Is The Best Word Game You’ve Never Heard Of

Wooords by StrayRobot games is a fast paced and super fun word puzzle game set to launch in the app store tomorrow, and well worth looking into if you’re a fan of wordsmithing. I beta tested this game during the development process, and it’s a fun little title for people who like playing with letters and whatnot.

The game presents you with a fridge covered in letter magnets, with a goal of scoring enough points to move on to the next level — and points are awarded for forming words out of the letters, with bonuses for longer words and putting them together in quick succession. Each level is constrained by a certain “key letter” which must be included in each word.

It’s also excruciatingly good practice if you play Scrabble or Words With Friends — it’s great for brushing up on how to find words in a seemingly random set of letters.

Wooords (that’s right, with three “o”s) is due out in the app store on July 21st.

Mac OS X Lion Is Now Available

Generally on this blog, we focus on iOS and not Mac OS, but the release of a new big cat is worth covering. Mac OS X Lion is now available on the Mac App Store, and at $29.99, this is the cheapest OS X has ever been.

Lion is a major overhaul from Mac OS 10.6, and brings a raft of new features. In order to install, you’ll beed 8GB of free space, and already running the most recent version of Mac OS 10.6.x.

If you’re not in the USA, here’s a rundown of what the upgrade will cost in other nations.

This marks the first non-disc based rollout of Lion, but if you’re desperate for a physical copy, rumor has it you can mount the installer on a flash drive or DVD, and keep it around that way.

Björk Gets Into The Apps Business With Björk: Biophilia

Björk has never been afraid of experimentation, so when I stumbled across an official music app from her that looks abstract and vaguely insane, I only wondered why it hadn’t happened sooner. Björk: Biophilia is billed as “an extraordinary and innovative multimedia exploration of music, nature and technology” — which makes absolutely no sense, but that’s okay. It’s a free app with in-app purchasing for new tracks, and is heavily built around the creation and artistic interpretation of  music.

If you’re still confused, here’s a concrete list of features:

• Three-dimensional galactic interface with the song Cosmogony
• Access to new songs and apps immediately as they are released
• Music scores with karaoke playback
• Abstract song animation
• Lyrics
• Essay

Full app description after the jump:

Biophilia is an extraordinary and innovative multimedia exploration of music, nature and technology by the musician Björk. Comprising a suite of original music and interactive, educational artworks and musical artifacts, Biophilia is released as ten in-app experiences that are accessed as you fly through a three-dimensional galaxy that accompanies the album’s theme song Cosmogony. All of the album’s songs gradually become available inside Biophilia as interactive experiences, beginning with the first single Crystalline.

Björk has collaborated with artists, designers, scientists, instrument makers, writers and software developers to create an extraordinary multimedia exploration of the universe and its physical forces, processes and structures – of which music is a part. Each in-app experience is inspired by and explores the relationships between musical structures and natural phenomena, from the atomic to the cosmic. You can use Biophilia to make and learn about music, to find out about natural phenomena, or to just enjoy Björk’s music.

Biophilia opens into a three-dimensional galaxy with a compass allowing navigation between the 3-dimensional universe and a two-dimensional track list. Take a closer look by tapping on stars within the constellations and you’ll see that each is an in-app purchase that gives access to the inspired combination of artifacts for each new Björk song: interactive art and games, music notation which can be used to sing along karaoke-style, abstract animations, lyrics, and essays that explore Björk’s inspirations for the track. These artifacts bring together conventional and alternative ways of representing and making music to create an environment for entertainment and learning. Biophilia challenges the way we think about music. Here, for the first time, is a music album that exploits the multimedia capabilities of mobile interactive technologies.

Biophilia was created by Björk in collaboration with interactive artist and app developer Scott Snibbe, and Björk’s longtime design collaborators M/M (Paris).

Features:

• Three-dimensional galactic interface with the song Cosmogony
• Access to new songs and apps immediately as they are released
• Music scores with karaoke playback
• Abstract song animation

Cableguy Is A Sensible Way To Stow Your Apple Earbuds

If you’re tired of having your Apple earbuds flapping out and generally getting tangled, you might be interested in a little European gadget called the Cableguy. Available for the eminently reasonable price of $12.50. It not only give you a place to wind and stow the earbuds when not in use, but you can also clip it to a handy piece of clothing to stop them flopping about like mad.

No, this isn’t the first bit of gadgetry to do this, and yes, you can avoid the issue of tangling if you just know how to fold your headphones right, but for a small and cheap bit of plastic, this looks like it might work surprisingly well.

Full press release follows

Many of us are familiar with two little issues related to the earphones that we use with our iPhones and iPods. First, what do you do with ‘m when you’re not using them; and second, where do your earbuds go when you take them out for a few seconds?

CableGuy solves both of these problems for the Apple earphones that our gadgets come with. The earbuds and plug find a home in the slots in CableGuy, while the cable can be wound neatly (or not so neatly, if you prefer) around it – making cable spaghetti a thing of the past. But that’s not all. Clip it to your t-shirt, shirt pocket or bag, and CableGuy keeps your earphones from dropping to the floor when you’re on pause, using either the build-in cable clip or the earbud-fitting slots.

Mac OS X Lion is here!

Mac OS X Lion arrives today

Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is here. OS X, the desktop counterpart to Apple’s mobile iOS, has taken iPad innovation “Back to the Mac” with this release, including the iPad home screen-like LaunchPad for app management, automatic save and resume, etc.

“Lion is the best version of OS X yet, and we’re thrilled that users around the world can download it starting today,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “Lion makes upgrading a Mac easier than ever before; just launch the Mac App Store, buy Lion with your iTunes account, and the download and install process will begin automatically.”

It’s also the first time a major Mac OS X version will be distributed online, through the Mac App Store. Gigabytes of download will be an interesting challenge for those with multiple machines, but especially for those with slower internet connections or restricted bandwidth. (Never mind what the launch day rush might do to the internet in general — Apple servers have gone down during iOS releases in the early days.)

UPDATE: Apple has announced that Lion will be available “later this August” on a USB thumb drive for $69.

All that aside, we welcome our Mac OS X cousins to the goodness we’ve been enjoying for a while now in iOS. Who’s getting it?

Apple introduces new MacBook Airs, other stuff

Apple introduces new MacBook Airs, other stuff

To coincide with the release of Mac OS X Lion, Apple has also released a new generation of MacBook Airs, Mac Minis, and LED displays (now dubbed Thunderbolt displays). The most interesting to us, of course, is the MacBook Air, particularly the 11-inch version which is a real — if more expensive — rival to the iPad.

Now with more processing power, courtesy of Intel’s Core i5 or Core i7 (Sandybridge) processor, a high speed Thunderbolt I/O port, and a backlit keyboard(?!), it makes an already compelling alternative even more so. (If rumors of an early iPad 2 Pro or iPad 3 turn out to be true, it could make the decision even harder.)

“Portable, affordable and powerful, MacBook Air is the ultimate everyday notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “MacBook Air features our most advanced technology and is an ideal match for Lion, especially with its new Multi-Touch gestures, full-screen apps, Mission Control and Mac App Store.”

Mac Mini with the new chips and port make a good if expensive home theater PC even more powerful and (eventually) flexible, while the new LED displays can be chained together to turn your desktop into a NASA-style control center.

“Mac mini delivers the speed and expandability that makes it perfect for the desktop, living room or office,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “With faster processors, more powerful graphics and Thunderbolt in an incredibly compact, aluminum design, the new Mac mini is more versatile than ever.”

“The Apple Thunderbolt Display is the ultimate docking station for your Mac notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “With just one cable, users can dock with their new display and connect to high performance peripherals, network connections and audio devices.”

Anyone going to pick up a new Air?

Apple Sells Record Number of iPhone and iPad Devices

Apple’s third fiscal 2011 quarter was full of company records – and since we are talking about one of the world’s biggest companies, that means significant margins. Not only are iPhone sales up 142% from last year, but onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.ipadngravy.com');" target="_blank" title="iPad" href="http://www.ipadngravy.com">iPad sales are also up 183% even as Apple is still scrambling to meet demand. That accounts to 20.34 million iPhones and 9.25 million iPads having been sold.

It is amazing just how much the iOS ecosystem has grown since its introduction in 2007 with the original iPhone. The iPad was released a little over a year ago, making it one of the fastest-adopted devices of the last decade. There is no doubt that the mobile operating system’s four-year period has made those two devices Apple’s most significant market in terms of owners. Neither the Mac, with 3.95 million system sales, nor the iPod, at a 20% decline with 7.54 million, reach the ownership numbers of iOS devices. However make no mistake, the Mac is still significant on the report with a much higher revenue per unit sold since systems have a much broader price range.

A revenue of $28.57 billion and a net profit of $7.31 billion are both the highest-ever for Apple’s quarterly report. Both figures are almost twice what they were during this quarter last year, plus the revenue/profit ratio has increased in the favor of profit. 62% of the revenue can be attributed to the international market.

Steve Jobs expresses his enthusiasm over Apple’s success that has continued to grow at an incredible rate, “We’re thrilled to deliver our best quarter ever, with revenue up 82 percent and profits up 125 percent. Right now, we’re very focused and excited about bringing iOS 5 and iCloud to our users this fall.”

Today Apple will be releasing Mac OS X Lion, the latest version of the Mac operating system, exclusively through the App Store recently brought to the platform. With Lion, Apple has proclaimed that they are bringing what they have learned from iOS to their personal computers, including a focus on multi-touch gestures and a page-organized app collection.

Analyst expectations for the quarter have been beat by a fairly wide margin, and next quarter is looking to continue the success as Apple is due to release the highly-anticipated successor to iPhone 4 and possibly a new href="http://www.iphonealley.com/news/ipad-hd-for-pro-market-and-brand-new-iphone-design-this-fall">iPad.

Chinese counterfeit phones are nothing new, counterfeit Apple Stores, now that’s something new!

We have all seen pictures of fake iPhones coming out of China but blogger BirdAbroad discovered something far more impressive on her travels. She walked into a fake Apple Store in the Chinese town of Kunming.

The products appear to be real Apple products so at least that is one bit of good news. Unfortunately though, Apple does not have stores in this part of China. The store could be an approved re-seller, if that is the case it has really over stepped the mark with its blatant Apple branding and attempt to copy a real Apple Store model.

RP and I went inside and poked around. They looked like Apple products. It looked like an Apple store. It had the classic Apple store winding staircase and weird upstairs sitting area. The employees were even wearing those blue t-shirts with the chunky Apple name tags around their necks.

Sadly, the staff in the store believe they are working for Apple too. Security and sales staff did try and prevent the blogger from taking photos. Strangely when she explained that she worked for Apple, they were allowed to take some more pictures.

Apparently this store is one of three in close proximity. In fact one of the stores even has a sign calling it an “Apple Stoer”. I can’t see these fake Apple Stores being around for too much longer!
