Cableguy Is A Sensible Way To Stow Your Apple Earbuds

If you’re tired of having your Apple earbuds flapping out and generally getting tangled, you might be interested in a little European gadget called the Cableguy. Available for the eminently reasonable price of $12.50. It not only give you a place to wind and stow the earbuds when not in use, but you can also clip it to a handy piece of clothing to stop them flopping about like mad.

No, this isn’t the first bit of gadgetry to do this, and yes, you can avoid the issue of tangling if you just know how to fold your headphones right, but for a small and cheap bit of plastic, this looks like it might work surprisingly well.

Full press release follows

Many of us are familiar with two little issues related to the earphones that we use with our iPhones and iPods. First, what do you do with ‘m when you’re not using them; and second, where do your earbuds go when you take them out for a few seconds?

CableGuy solves both of these problems for the Apple earphones that our gadgets come with. The earbuds and plug find a home in the slots in CableGuy, while the cable can be wound neatly (or not so neatly, if you prefer) around it – making cable spaghetti a thing of the past. But that’s not all. Clip it to your t-shirt, shirt pocket or bag, and CableGuy keeps your earphones from dropping to the floor when you’re on pause, using either the build-in cable clip or the earbud-fitting slots.
