On the 2nd of August, href="http://itunes.apple.com/app/editions-by-aol/id447687307?mt=8">Editions by AOL made its way to the iPad, slipping completely under my radar. I don’t even remember hearing about it, but if I did, I probably dismissed it as being another AOL instafail. It appears I may have been completely wrong on that. This free to download news magazine has been getting extremely good reviews, and looks like it borrows a bit from Zite and Flipboard.
FastCompany recently href="http://www.fastcompany.com/1771742/huffington-post-ghost-aol-ipad-mag-editions-forgets-aol-content-techcrunch">interviewed the creators — and what’s striking is that even though this is an AOL venture, it doesn’t give any extra weight to the company’s properties when picking content.
Could this finally be something AOL has done that isn’t completely horrible?
