Steve Jobs Met With China Mobile For Special iPhone Talks

China Mobile is the biggest telecom in the world, and according to Reuters, href="http://in.reuters.com/article/2011/08/18/idINIndia-58846320110818">Steve Jobs has met with them several times to discuss building an iPhone especially for their network. China Mobile uses their own TDSCDMA standard, a Chinese developed 3G variant that none of the iPhones support.

Even though there’s no official support, apparently the company already has more than 7 million iPhone users, who are stuck crawling on EDGE speeds.

Getting an iPhone into this network would be a homerun for Apple, as it would get into the hands of millions upon millions of users.

Plus there will be a whole new varient of iPhone to mess with leakers and whatnot!
