The story of a researcher accidentally transported to an alien world, it wowed all comers thanks to its detailed graphics powered by revolutionary rotoscoped polygons. The game eventually found its way onto Apple IIGS, DOS, SNES, Mega Drive, and was considered blisteringly hard, even by 1991 standards. You will die, and die often.

Now we’ve just discovered href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/07/chahis-another-world-teleports-to-ios-september-22/">that Another World is heading to iOS September 22, where it’ll set you back $4.99 for a universal app. You can control it via either touch controls or an onscreen keyboard, and there are new difficulty levels, both easier and harder. Plus there’s a graphics overhaul you can turn on at your will.
