10 Million iPhones On China Mobile

China Mobile has been talking to Reuters, and even though they don’t have an official agreement with Apple, they claim to have a whopping 10 million iPhone users on their network, users who are crawling along at sub-3G speeds.

While Apple has been making big pushes into China, they still haven’t fomented an alliance with China Mobile yet, and China Unicom remains the only official carrier of the device.

However, word is that a deal is in the works, and the next model might be an LTE iPhone for both the Chinese and USA market. Chairman Wang Jianzhou said:

“We have not yet got agreement with Apple. Apple promised to provide, when they develop the iPhone for LTE, that it will include TD-LTE. We are discussing the details.”

Hopefully next year will be the LTE iPhone, and that it will work globally.
