The now classic top-down Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has dropped to just $2.99 on both href="http://itunes.apple.com/app/grand-theft-auto-chinatown/id344186162?mt=8">iPhone and href="http://itunes.apple.com/app/grand-theft-auto-chinatown/id386183589?mt=8">iPad. The app debuted late last year for $9.99, and this is the lowest that the price has ever been — and an order of magnitude lower than what it is on its original platform of the Nintendo DS.
If you haven’t played any of the GTA games, they’re darkly humorous tales of rampant theft, violence, murder and working your way up the chain of command in an inner city gang — this time a triad. That said, this game is worth the sticker price just for the astonishingly fun drug trading minigame.
