In a frankly bewildering late night display, Skype for iPad href="http://www.tuaw.com/2011/08/01/skype-for-ipad-released-in-new-zealand/">showed up in the New Zealand app store, was released internationally, was then pulled down for being released “prematurely” but is now available again! Yay! That’s right folks, href="http://itunes.apple.com/app/skype-for-ipad/id442012681?mt=8">Skype for iPad is finally here! It’s a free app that brings video calling over both 3G and WiFi. It’s more or less everything you’d expect — Skype optimized for the slightly larger screen.

We were originally told that the app was coming “soon” in href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/skype-to-hit-ipad-soon/2011/06/27/">June of this year — and six weeks later it has finally arrived.
