You have to login to the service via Facebook, but once inside you get a musical experience that’s unlike any other. Each room has up to five djs, who take turns choosing the next track for the entire crowd to groove on. When the music plays, listeners can vote (and if it sucks, skip it), chat, and just generally have a good time.
You can either open your room to the public, or have it set to private, where just those with a specific URL can get it — which makes it perfect for curating the music for a house party. That way plenty of people get to chose the sounds, and you just hook the rig into the speaker system.
The one downside is that you can only chose music that’s on Turntable’s servers, not from your own collection.
