AT&T has announced the most successful phone launch of all time on their carrier, the iPhone 4S has blown past all records, and they’ve already activated 1 million of the device. Not only that, but overall iPhones are now the majority of their smartphone network, with Apple devices making up 56% of activations. That’s right, there are more iPhones on AT&T than any other smartphone.
Much like Apple, AT&T suffered for the pushed-back iPhone 4S launch, seeing lower sales than hoped for in the quarter previous. Overall, AT&T activated 2.7 million iPhones last quarter, compared to 3.6 the quarter before.
