Plenty has been made about the battery issues plaguing the iPhone 4S. Apple confirmed that battery issues in a statement to href="http://www.loopinsight.com/2011/11/02/apple-confirms-battery-life-issues-in-ios-5/">Jim Dalrymple at The Loop.

“A small number of customers have reported lower than expected battery life on iOS 5 devices. We have found a few bugs that are affecting battery life and we will release a software update to address those in a few weeks.”
The odd thing about this battery issue is that it appears to affect iPhone 4S owners more so than iPhone 4 owners. There have been no shortage of href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/threads/battery-draining-with-everything-off.80727/">complaints in our forums and elsewhere. A previous report from The Guardian indicated that href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/report-apple-engineers-contacting-iphone-4s-owners-regarding-poor-battery-life/2011/10/28/">Apple engineers had been reaching out to customers to acquire data in order to solve the problem.
