Android Malware Skyrocketing. iPhone? Not So Much

They say that the number of viruses, trojans and other bits of unpleasantness increased dramatically last Spring, up 76% to 44 known instances. Java had 14, Symbian and Blackberry 4 a piece, and WebOS and iOS had none. Zip. Nada.

McAfee states there are no known malware attacks on out of the box iOS, and the ones that do target it rely on you having a jailbroken app.

What this all boils down to is what you value more: security, or access to any and all apps. Because apparently, without a curated app store, you can’t keep out the scammers.
