When the original Google+ app launched, it was oddly href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/the-official-google-iphone-app-is-now-available/2011/07/19/">only for the iPhone, not any other iOS editions. There was a href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/how-to-get-google-for-ipad-and-ipod-touch/2011/07/21/">semi-functional workaround, but it was less than elegant. A new version of the app has just landed in the App Store, and it finally adds support for your other iOS devices. Now up to version 1.0.2.1966, the new version has added:
- Huddle settings
/> - Aggregated circle add notifications
/> - iPod touch & iPad support
/> - Performance and stability improvements
The update is live and ready to download, so you don’t need to rely on the HTML5 version of the Google+ website any more!
Now, if only there were more people on the service.
UPDATE: Even though this is now being billed as having “iPad support”, it still seems to run as a native iPhone app, so you have to either run it at double size or inside that hideous enormous black border. Consider me unimpressed.
