iOS 5 Beta 5 Shows Some Nuance Integration

On Saturday, Apple href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/apple-releases-ios-5-beta-5-to-developers/2011/08/06/">released iOS 5 beta 5, and here’s what a weekend of sleuthing has discovered. While there haven’t been many major changes in it, a couple of small things have grabbed some attention.

All you do is hit the button, record a snippit of speech, and then it’s converted to text. While this isn’t yet available in the new beta, MacRumors has confirmed that thehref="http://www.macrumors.com/2011/08/06/apple-went-to-great-lengths-to-obscure-its-speech-recognition-interface-in-ios-5/"> the interface does exist within the system.

Also,href="http://9to5mac.com/2011/08/06/apple-plans-to-release-next-beta-of-ios-5-on-wednesday-august-17"> 9to5 Mac thinks they’ve cracked the code for how often Apple plans on updating the iOS beta, with the next edition coming on August 17th, just over a week away.
