Pegatron Technology has landed orders for 10 million units of iPhone 5 to become the second ODM of the smartphone. Shipments will start in September, according to industry sources.
Hopefully the combined might of Pegatron and Foxconn will mean that it’s actually possible to get hold of an iPhone 5 somewhere near launch without having to make a human sacrifice to the elder gods or something similar.
I wouldn’t count on it though.
We still haven’t heard definitively if this will be a September or October launch, with rumors and “unnamed sources” pointing to both.
