If you’re on the iPad and for some reason aren’t using the excellent, free, official Twitter app — this will probably make you happy. Twitter has completely overhauled twitter.com for the iPad, pushing out a redesigned HTML5 version that’s better designed for the device. href="http://techcrunch.com/2011/08/02/twitter-rolls-out-html5-version-of-twitter-com-for-ipad/">As reported by TechCrunch, the rollout href="http://twitter.com/#!/twittermobile/status/98529320527593472">has just started, and the next week or so should see the new design accessible for all users.

The HTML5 web app looks heavily influenced both by the official iPad app and the new Twitter interface that rolled out a couple of months ago, and the split pane interface makes much better use of the iPad’s real estate.
