Apple Provides Developers With iTunes Match Update

Earlier tonight, Apple sent an email to developers informing them that all current iTunes match libraries in iCloud will be deleted on October 27th. There is still no release date for the general public, but this move is said to “continue to improve the overall quality and reliability of iTunes Match“./> href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/itunes-match-update.png">src="http://www.everythingicafe.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/itunes-match-update.png" alt="iTunes Match Update" title="itunes-match-update" width="599" height="463" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24793" />/>

To prepare, please turn off iTunes Match on all of your computers and iOS devices. On your computer, choose Store > Turn off iTunes Match. On your iOS device, tap Settings > Music, then turn off iTunes Match.

/> It goes without saying, but those taking part in the beta are encouraged to backup regularly and not to delete music from your computer that has been added to iCloud. This isn’t the first time Apple has advised of href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/apple-to-wipe-itunes-match-data-today-gm-soon/2011/09/26/">wiping iTunes Match, so shouldn’t be used as an indicator of a pending release date.
