Yesterday’s href="http://www.everythingicafe.com/apple-releases-ios-5-0-1/2011/11/10/" target="_blank">release of iOS 5.0.1 was largely a bug-fix update, addressing the battery-use concerns of a number of iOS 5 users. Some users are still struggling, though, as documented in the Apple Support forums. Complaints range from small drops in battery on standby to noticeable plunges in just a few minutes.

“The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices,” the company said in a statement given to AllThingsD. “We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.”
Our batteries seem to be doing well post 5.0.1, but for the users who are still experiencing significant battery drain, this should come as a relief.
