Tapbots, the creator of Tweetbot, have enabled push notifications for all customers. They had been testing the services over the past few weeks, but only select individuals were granted access. Tapbots have mentioned in the past that push notifications might not be free and this update is not a clear indication that push will be free forever. The company is keeping an eye on server and bandwidth costs over the next few months before making any decision. For now, it’s free, so enjoy it.
