According to analytics group Localytics, Verizon is making steady in-roads into the world of the iPhone, and now accounts for 32% of iPhone traffic in the USA. When the Verizon iPhone launched in February, it quickly grabbed 20% of the marketshare, as all those dedicated Verizon users jumped on board — but many worried that the interest would soon trickle off. However, the last six months have seen a steady growth in their numbers and a major upswing in July, up to the current 32% of the market.
Localytics attributes this July leap to Verizon still offering unlimited data at that point, though that fact is no longer true.
I wonder if these numbers will change significantly when the next iPhone is simultaneously released on both AT&T and Verizon.
