AT&T Claims To Be Working On Shared Data Plan

Why is it that I have to pay for two separate data accounts for my iPhone and iPad (and 3G modem, if you have one)? Why can’t AT&T combine all of these devices into a single plan, and just let you share minutes and data between them? Well, it looks like something in that vein may be in the works. At the D9 conference, AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega said that the carrier is “working on” a shared plan.

Given AT&T glacial pace on implementing useful features, I’d expect this in time for the successful construction of a moon base.

While we’re throwing around good ideas, how about rollover megabytes? Let me stash the ones I don’t use.
